CONSTRUCTION STAKING PROJECTS
The following is a list of representative construction survey projects completed by FDG:
Stafford/ Borland Bridge Improvements – Wildish
FDG provided construction staking in support of both the Stafford Bridge and the Borland Bridge Clackamas County project. Work included staking detour alignment, temporary bridge grading, slope stakes, sub-grade, aggregate base, HMAC, EOP, bridge bents, etc.
Disappointment Park Improvements – Rognlins, Inc.
FDG provided construction staking in support of a linear pedestrian path and miscellaneous park improvements for the Washington State Parks project.
Port of Portland Airport Way Signage – Triad Mechanical
FDG provided construction staking for sign bridges along Airport Way and 82 nd Avenue. Provided locations and vertical clearance cross sections.
Port of Portland Sanitary Sewer Improvements – Coffman Excavating
FDG completed the construction staking related to the Portland Airport sanitary sewer and site improvements. Our work included preparing calculations and providing staking for new sanitary sewer and runway extension improvements.
ODOT - Highway I-84 Sandy River Delta Exit – Tri-State Construction
FDG provide construction staking for the widening improvements related to the exit ramp site work. This includes slope stakes for a new detention pond, pre-construction inventory, signage location, striping, barrier location, and blue tops, red tops and confidence points.
ODOT – Highway 224 Slide Repair – Kerr Contractors
FDG provided the construction staking for the slide repair at milepost 43.2 of Hwy 224. This included piling placement, temporary traffic control location, construction limits staking and striping.
ODOT – Highway 6 Slide Repair – Kerr Contractors
FDG provided the construction staking for the slide repair at milepost 33.25 of Hwy 6. This included piling placement, and construction limits staking.
Multapor Bridge Improvments – Holm II
FDG provided construction staking for the bridge improvements to the Clackamas County Multapor Overpass in Government Camp. This included staking bents, camber, soffits, beam seats, railings, edge of deck, end panels, retaining walls, pilings, curb, ramps, manholes, catch basins, red tops, blue tops, etc.
Brownwood Landing Floodplain Restoration – Brant Construction
FDG provided pre-construction survey and construction staking for the Brownwood section of Johnson Creek. Work included surveying stream cross-sections, staking new stream centerline, bank cuts and fills, placement of large wood debris. A post construction survey included stream cross-sections, large wood debris survey, back water and flood plain survey.
OTHER SURVEY PROJECTS
A significant amount of the survey work performed by FDG staff is in support of our engineering designs. This includes extensive experience in topographical and boundary surveys and construction staking. Below is a small sample demonstrating the variety of projects we have completed:
Mill Creek Greenway Multi-Use Trail Client: City of Woodburn, OR
FDG provided a complete topographical survey of City park properties that are located in a contiguous serious for approximately one mile in length. The survey required data collected at creek crossings, wetland delineations, four major road crossings and existing utilities. Additionally a proposed public parking lot required a legal description to be prepared and filed in support of a property line adjustment.
Third Avenue Green Street Client: City of Fairview, OR
FDG provided a complete topographical survey of public right-of-way and all features within 25 feet of the right-of way boundary and prepare the base maps of existing conditions for the design of a green street improvement. Work included right-of-way resolution for project area of two street blocks.
Reed College Property Boundary and Topographical Survey Government Camp, OR
FDG completed a boundary and topographic survey on property owned by Reed College in Government camp OR. The client property had an encroachment by an adjoining property owner and the survey helped to resolve this. FDG also provided site design for property improvements.
Pingree Enterprise Rent-A-Car Company, Gresham, OR
FDG prepared boundary and ALTA survey meeting the 2005 Minimum Standard Detail Requirements. The project site was a 0.6 acre parcel in Gresham, Oregon and the survey included the completion of the optional items of Table A.
City of Sandy Transit Facility /Public Works Site Improvements Client: City of Sandy
FDG conducted the site topographical survey and mapping for the development improvements of a new transit facility and public works building. The project area was approximately 5 acres and included a tree inventory, right-of-way resolution and easement verification.
Hawthorn and Ivy Street Improvements Client: City of Estacada, OR
FDG provided a complete topographical survey of public right-of-way and all features within 10 feet of the right-of way boundary and prepare the base maps of existing conditions and for the design of new street improvements. Work included right-of-way resolution, utility verification and as-built review.
Cook 3-Lot Partition Plat , Welches, OR
FDG completed a boundary and topographic survey related to a three lot partition located near the intersection of Salmon River Road and Rolling Green Court in Welches, OR . The preliminary and final plat documents were prepared by Firwood Design Group.
